Michael Dickinson is an Accredited Marine Surveyor serving all of Southern California. Michael Dickinson served in the US Coast Guard for 8 years most recently as a boarding officer for the US Coast Guard Reserves stationed in San Pedro, California. Michael qualified as a Boarding Officer where he conducted Port State Control inspections on foreign vessels, ISPS inspections, follow-up to Class Society surveys, and shipping container inspections.
He is a graduate of Chapman’s School of Seamanship for Marine Surveying and is an Accredited Marine Surveyor with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS) and a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).
Michael was a mechanic for 15 years, an engineer in technology research and development and a project manager for several technology firms. As a long-time boat owner he is aware of the need for quality, detailed, and timely surveys in the boating industry.
Michael also owns and operates www.punkapacific.com, which makes US Coast Guard approved custom boat and yacht documentation plaques.
